WHat IF YOUr CHILD COULD LEarn, ExpLOrE, anD GrOw OUtSIDE tHE CLaSSrOOM?

Kids need more than information. They need opportunities to explore, make decisions, solve problems, and discover what they’re capable of.

At Sacred Cedars, youth ages 8–13 step into the outdoors to build:

  • Confidence and self-reliance

  • Resilience and courage

  • Leadership and teamwork

  • Connection with nature

  • Real-world skills and awareness

Through hands-on experiences, kids are encouraged to challenge themselves, work together, and learn from the world around them.

Why SACrED CEDaRS YOUTH WILDERnESS pROGraM?

We teach more than wilderness skills. We guide youth into meaningful relationships with the land, themselves and one another. Through hands-on wilderness experiences and intentional mentorship, youth cultivate a sense of courage, confidence, resilience and respect for nature. We believe that by expertly blending challenge and fun, we inspire and empower participants to be at home in the wild.

Karie Lee has been learning wilderness skills since she was 8 years old. She understands that spark of passion that a child ignites at that age when everything is still magical. She has spent a lifetime developing these skills and put them to the ultimate test on ALONE – Season 9, surviving 75 days alone in the wilderness.

Now, Karie brings that real-world experience to the next generation through hands-on wilderness education, mentorship, and adventure.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF EDUCATION FOR KIDS WHO WANT TO LEARN OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM

Designed for homeschooling families looking for a well-rounded education and a different way for their children to learn. Sacred Cedars offers hands-on wilderness education for kids ages 8–13.

Many kids are rarely given the chance to learn:

  • How to build a fire

  • How to read the land

  • How to find and use natural resources

  • How to navigate and problem-solve

  • How to become more confident and self-reliant

LEARN DEEPLY. CARRY LIGHTLY. LIVE WILDLY.

Ready to give your child a different kind of learning experience?

Join the Youth Wilderness Program and let them learn from the wild!
