There is so much food in the forests often more than what’s found in the garden, along with many medicinal plants available.⁣ ⁣ 𝐈’𝐦 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 6-𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐟𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞, 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧. A plant may be edible, but is it palatable? What would you eat in a survival situation? Will it kill you? Or is it absolutely yummy and irresistible?!⁣ ⁣ In this class, we will be exploring different ecosystems from the mountains all the way to the lakeshore of Pend Oreille to see what’s on the menu.⁣ We will not only talk about plants, but I will guide you through, how to identify the plants without a phone app. This is not just a plant walk, but an invaluable transfer of wisdom from basic botany to medicinal remedies to really cool tools that can be made from plants. ⁣ 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:⁣ Will be revealed when closer to the date, but it will be somewhere in Bonner County, Idaho. 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠:⁣ Appropriate clothing for outdoor weather (rain or shine)⁣ Plant journal⁣ Camera⁣ Snacks⁣/Lunch Water⁣ ⁣
