Reclaim Your Roots. Nourish with Nature
Service Description
Spring is the time to collect food and make medicines! There is so much food in the forests right now, more than what’s in the garden! Plus, many medicinal plants as well. Have you ever wanted to know how our ancestors found food before there were stores? What happens if there is no store around to purchase food? Join me for this 2-hour class where I will take you on a walk through the woods. I will show you what plants are are edible, medicinal, and utilitarian. Every plant has a purpose. The key is knowing what that purpose is and how can you use it. An edible plant may be edible but is it palatable? What would you eat in a survival situation? Can I make something useful with it, such as an arrow or cordage? Or is this plant absolutely yummy and irresistible?! We will talk about * Ethical harvesting * Plant identification * Poisonous Plants * Plant use (edible, medicinal, utilitarian) * Place the plant on Karie Lee's Plant Score Card You will also receive Karie Lee's Plant guide pdf file. Join me for an unforgettable walk and learn how our ancestors found food.
