Energy Techniques for Survival Situations

Wednesday, July 20 - 4pm PT / 7pm EST

The body has nine energy systems that run through your body to keep it functioning.  For example, your heart pumps blood by electrical pulses from the brain that trigger the heart muscles.   The electrical system is just one of the nine energetic systems.

But what happens when things go awry?  Especially when it puts you in a survival situation?  What would you do if you were out in the woods and someone was having a heart attack?  You have no help, no communication, no first aid kit, and no medical training?  Or what if someone goes into anaphylactic shock and you have no Epi-pen or Benadryl?

This class gives you techniques that can help you in emergency situations, and only requires the use of your hands. This ancient knowledge has been used for thousands of years. Here are some techniques you will learn in this class to help save a life or at least improve your situation until help arrives.

  • Take someone out of fight, flight or freeze

  • Easy to remember Acupressure points

  • Equalize heart rhythms

  • Control traumatic shock

  • Reverse anaphylactic shock

  • Give yourself an energetic boost when you need it most

  • Pain management

  • Maintain mental clarity

  • Create a positive mental attitude

  • So much more…

Wilderness Survival Course

Monday, August 08 - Saturday, August 13

Bitterroot Mountains

Callie Russell, from season 7 of Alone, and I (Karie Lee) will be co-leading a backcountry trip in the Bitterroot Mountains of Montana and Idaho.  These courses take place deep in the largest wilderness area in the lower 48.

The key term here is REMOTE. Because of this, a large amount of travel time is necessary - after arrival in Montana, there will be a long drive deep into the wilderness, and an 8-9 hour horseback ride!  Though no prior survival experience is necessary, a trip of this sort requires you to be physically and mentally prepared for the arduous journey.  An open, adaptable mindset and reasonable fitness level are required. The reward for enduring such a trip is that we will discover epically beautiful locations few people will ever get to see, let alone explore, fish, and learn. A willingness to travel far opens up options for us to select remote regions that we have been itching to explore - meaning a new and exciting experience for us to share with you and an opportunity for you to see how we approach novel locations and challenges. Resilience and adaptability will be key - invaluable traits to hone in both survival and life. Because it takes place in the wilderness, Leave No Trace principles will be followed in order to ensure a pristine landscape.

There are still a couple of spots left, but it is expected to fill up fast!

“The Drum...the drum that sounds the rhythm...the rhythm of the heartbeat...the heartbeat of the Mother...the Mother Earth that supports all life...the lives of our ancestors...the ancestors that birthed us...from one heart to the next, to the next, and on down the line. We are all connected by this heartbeat. The drum, connects us to that ancestral heartbeat, where we can access our wisdom, that magical place where everything is possible.”   ~Anonymous

Indigenous peoples from around the world, have used drums in their spiritual practices. For playing music, visioning, and healing. Every drum, has its own spirit, its own essence, its own purpose. There is a certain element of alchemy that happens when the animal nation, the tree nation, and the human spirit comes together in unity.

In this class, you will have the opportunity to find YOUR Drum Ally. Whether you use it for ceremony, healing, or journeying, that's between you and your drum. I, personally, prefer to make my own ceremonial tools. There is no substitute for the connection that you create when it comes from your own hands and your own heart.

We will begin this class by journeying, to find your drum ally and set your intention for your drum. You then will make your drum using this guidance from spirit. We will work together, creating and birthing a new drum spirit that is here for you and only you.

Cost: $400, includes materials
